Ryan Joseph Silver – A Life of Faith, Love, and Purpose
“Children are a gift from the Lord…” – Psalm 127:3-4
Ryan Joseph Silver (June 1, 1993 – April 26, 2025) was a beloved son, husband, father, brother, and friend whose life was defined by compassion, faith, resilience, and a deep commitment to helping others. As the firstborn of four children, Ryan was the heart of his family – a steady, joyful presence who led with kindness, protected those he loved, and brought light into every room he entered.
From a young age, Ryan demonstrated an extraordinary sense of empathy and purpose. He cared deeply for others, especially those who were struggling, and consistently sought ways to uplift, encourage, and support them. His faith in Jesus Christ was central to who he was, guiding his actions and inspiring him to serve others with humility and love.
Ryan was also a gifted musician, a dedicated student, and a natural encourager. He excelled academically, graduating with honors, and later pursued studies in psychology, driven by a desire to better understand and support individuals facing mental health challenges. His work and personal experiences gave him a profound awareness of the complexities surrounding mental health, as well as a deep compassion for those navigating those struggles.
Throughout his life, Ryan faced significant health challenges, including a battle with OCD/PANDAS in his youth and later struggles related to mental health. Despite these obstacles, he remained resilient and steadfast in his faith, often encouraging others even in the midst of his own difficulties. His strength, courage, and unwavering care for others left a lasting impact on all who knew him.
In honor of Ryan’s life and legacy, his family established the Ryan Silver Memorial Fund. The purpose of the Fund is to provide financial resources for needs specifically associated with mental health. This includes supporting services, offering assistance to families facing challenges related to mental health illness, and contributing to the fundraising efforts of organizations that provide extended support to both individuals experiencing mental health issues and their immediate family members.
Recognizing the broad and complex nature of mental health diagnoses, the Fund prioritizes addressing these challenges by providing financial support across a wide range of needs associated with mental health. The goal is to ease the financial burdens, expand access to care, and ensure that individuals and families receive the support they need during some of life’s most difficult moments.
Ryan’s life was a testament to love in action—through his words, his music, his faith, and his unwavering compassion for others. The Ryan Silver Memorial Fund continues that legacy by serving as a source of hope, support, and healing for those facing mental health challenges.
Through this work, Ryan’s light lives on.
