President of Regional Board of Directors

On behalf of the Community Foundation of NC East Leadership, we are extremely pleased to announce the recent election of our 2024 Board President, Simmi Prassad. Simmi has been serving on our Regional Board of Directors since 2021 and has been involved in numerous leadership and partnership positions with the CF of NC East for more than 10 years. Simmi brings a tremendous amount of expertise and leadership to our Regional Board of Directors. Simmi is an executive and leader in the Wealth Management and Finance Industry, with 20 plus years of experience. Simmi has an MBA with concentration in Finance from Campbell University and graduated from the Yale University School of Management Executive Education Women’s Leadership
Program. Simmi has led the Carolinas Chapter of The International Entrepreneurs – a global entrepreneurship non-profit organization and served on Advisory Boards at organizations such as Northwest Cary YMCA, NCIAP People’s Medical Care, Cary Community Foundation, Hum Sub, and Lundy Fetterman School of Business Board.

A resident for nearly 25 years, Simmi lives in the Triangle area with her husband, Dipak, and daughters Deana, Vera and Swara!
